Hello

Hello,

When I'm not tutoring on CELTA courses, I work on large scale teacher development projects with the British Council in India. Increasingly, I find myself working on projects which involve informal, digital modes of learning as opposed to traditional face-to-face training. I also teach on short ESP and Business English courses when I find the time.

This is my second course with ITDI - I hope to be on top of deadlines unlike the last time. I also found Dorothy's IATEFL talk fascinating and I've always wanted to self-publish but couldn't shake off the inertia and do something about it.

I have a couple of ideas incubating somewhere in my head. One's about Business English tasks that address a specific need I've experienced in my context, and the other one is on ELT activities that draw on indigenous art forms from India. I hope to be able to do something with them over the next month.

And I look forward to learning from all of you!

  1. Keeping up with deadlines is a full-time job on top of our regular full-time jobs. Good luck and I’m happy you’re in the course.

  2. Welcome! I wonder if you might find short ebooks useful for some of your training projects--we'll be looking at ways to create an ebook and then share it (for free) with a private group of people.

And the whole point of deadlines, if even they're not entirely 'real,' is to get you to do the things you want to do. That's why I'm going to try to finish a book alongside you guys.

  3. Hello Adi! Nice to see you here after the July course, when things kept me away most of the time. I hope we get better connected this time and share ideas and knowledge. Enjoy the course!

  4. Dorothy Zemach Thanks Dorothy - I don't have a 'seat at the table' in terms of decision making for some of the larger projects I work on but incorporating ebooks into some of the digital projects I run with own my clients is a great idea.

Hi all! I'm happy to report that my health is much improved. Thank goodness! Ain't nobody got time for being ill.

It´s me again! I got enthusiastic and did almost the whole book. There are two or three pictures missing.
