Hi everyone, just catching up with watching the recording of the first webinar session and I have a couple of questions/requests:
– I can't find the link to the sample book Dorothy mentions (50 Ways to Practice Writing). Probably being oblivious, but I have looked up and down the posts here. Can anyone help?
– I would be grateful for any extra resources to help get to grips with Styles in Word (I'm working using Word for Mac)
Thanks in advance for any help you might be able to give!

The link's in Barbara's email from Aug 31.
ReplyDeleteAdi Rajan Thanks Adi! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks, Adi Rajan! Just in case, here's the link: wayzgoosepress.com - Freebies – Wayzgoose Press
ReplyDeleteI downloaded the mobi file but Kindle doesn't seem to find it. How do I open this in kindle?
ReplyDeleteHeike Philp Basically, you need to connect your kindle to your computer with its USB cable. Then you need to copy/paste or drag/drop the mobi file into the documents folder for the kindle. If you search for "How to transfer a mobi file to ... "(depending on which device you're transferring to) it's easy to find pages with instructions. Here's one: dummies.com - How to Transfer Files From Your Computer to Your Kindle Paperwhite - dummies
ReplyDeleteHeike Philp Just checking... did you mean to move it to an actual Kindle device, or to open it on an Kindle program on your computer?
ReplyDeleteMichael Harrison I'll add some YouTube links in a separate post for Word and styles. There's a little bit of a learning curve, but you will (probably!) come to love it.
ReplyDeleteBarbara Hoskins Sakamoto hi Barbara, thank you I will try to do this
ReplyDeleteDorothy Zemach hi Dorothy, thanks for checking, will try to do as Barbara instructed
ReplyDeleteDorothy Zemach And please accept my apologies for not making it to your session in person, I keep watching the recordings, the session is 5am on a Sunday morning.. bit tough.
ReplyDeleteHeike Philp no worries! That’s why we make a recording. :)
ReplyDeleteIf you’re using an actual Kindle device, you can also email the file to your Kindle. Or did you mean you are using a Kindle app on your desktop or tablet or something?
