Main idea: this for homeschoolers and teachers of VYL. It includes some phonics tips, background info, and 40-50 games / activities to practice early reading and writing. Please take a look at the acitivites in particular!

    Thanks! I continued today and am now into the last part, although various sections need tidying up, formatting, etc. And the photos need adding!
    For some reason, some of the lines on the left aren’t aligning - any idea why? Or should I worry about that when I put it into an ebook format?

    Kate Cory-Wright You're using styles, right? Is it possible your style got corrupted? Check and make sure it's for the alignment you want.

    Kate Cory-Wright Didn't you post info on using styles? Remember--that's how you set indents and things in Word, in order to have them work correctly when you make your epub. You should have downloaded a guide (in .pdf form) from Smashwords that has step by step instructions, with screenshots, for both Macs and PCs, on how to work with styles. I also posted two YouYube videos in the general section, one for Macs and one for PCs, with a walkthrough on using styles.

Hello everyone, Almost everything has been finalised in my story. Only the info about the creators (Author and illustrator) is missing and I need to have a professional picture taken of me and my daughter, Evita (the illustrator), but I won't have the pic until mid November :(. Re the font type - I used Arial. Should I change to Times New Roman? I hope you can find a few minutes to write a comment on this almost-final draft of my story. I have a question: as you know Evita has done the illustrations, but the background was a bit greyish. Hi all! I'm happy to report that my health is much improved. Thank goodness! Ain't nobody got time for being ill. So ... where is everybody? I know I extended the deadlines out to the end of October for people on the accomplishment track and the end of November for those working towards the distinction certificate... let's see some finished projects! :) Could the distinction people email me theirs separately? Either a .mobi or an .epub is fine. zemach@comcast.net is probably best. For the others, why not post here, and we can all give some congratulations and feedback? (Distinction people welcome to post theirs here as well, of course!)

I'd love to know your opinion about: *the whole thing, of course! *the two covers- do you like them? Which one most? *the font- is it clear? big enough? *the last page- is it clear that lights are off? *the line in the middle of some pages to separate different situations- any other idea? *the dialogues- is it clear enough who is talking?
