Hi everyone!I'm Toula Sklavou and I'm from Greece.I've been an English teacher since 2001 and have worked for language schools in Athens and summer schools in the UK.I've been lucky enough to teach a variety of nationalities and age groups and prepare students for different purposes, exam preparation, meeting job needs,etc. For the last 8 years,I've been teaching 1-2-1 lessons mainly through Skype in order to study for the Delta which I have successfully completed and raise my three kids, 5, 3 1/2, 8 months old.
My most challenging task has been to combine work,family and professional development. And I'm still working on striking a happy balance between work and family. But I'm very happy to be here and I'm looking forward to learning, being inspired and acquiring the skills to open some new doors to a new career as well.
Right now i'm not in Athens and I'll be using my mobile to connect which isn't always very easy so if I miss anything, I'll try to catch up after 6/9 when I'm back home:)

    Kids + work is always a challenge! But you got your Delta, so obviously you're making it work. :) There might be some info on the slides that's best viewed on a larger screen, but no worries, you can check when you're back in Athens. (I'll be in Athens next March, btw...)

Hello everyone, Almost everything has been finalised in my story. Only the info about the creators (Author and illustrator) is missing and I need to have a professional picture taken of me and my daughter, Evita (the illustrator), but I won't have the pic until mid November :(. Re the font type - I used Arial. Should I change to Times New Roman? I hope you can find a few minutes to write a comment on this almost-final draft of my story. I have a question: as you know Evita has done the illustrations, but the background was a bit greyish. Hi all! I'm happy to report that my health is much improved. Thank goodness! Ain't nobody got time for being ill. So ... where is everybody? I know I extended the deadlines out to the end of October for people on the accomplishment track and the end of November for those working towards the distinction certificate... let's see some finished projects! :) Could the distinction people email me theirs separately? Either a .mobi or an .epub is fine. zemach@comcast.net is probably best. For the others, why not post here, and we can all give some congratulations and feedback? I'd love to know your opinion about: *the whole thing, of course! *the two covers- do you like them? Which one most? *the font- is it clear? big enough? *the last page- is it clear that lights are off? *the line in the middle of some pages to separate different situations- any other idea? *the dialogues- is it clear enough who is talking?
