After many days of struggling, and thinking, and struggling and thinking I came up with an idea that I like and I actually think I am going to be working on. So this morning ( It's Sunday here now:-) I woke up early and I started giving a shape to an idea that had been in my mind all night long ( yes, I could not sleep but sometimes sleepless nights have a positive outcome). So the idea is this: I teach English to primary school children and I teach them three hours a week. We all know that three hours a week is not enough, especially if we are teaching to groups of 20-25 children and some of those children have difficulties or learning disabilities. How can we involve our families and try to engage them and stimulate them into using English at home in simple daily activities or using simple stories or playing simple games? So my idea is to work on a manual which will include simple stories based on repetition and routine, simple games to play in the family and other fun activities to do with the family. I came up with the front cover this morning. I used Canva and I bought the images I liked and needed. I am happy I finally came up with something I like and which I think could be really useful for our families. The manual will be written in Italian, as our families are Italian. The stories, the games and the activities will be in English but the explanation and the writing part will be in Italian . Any idea, suggestions are more than appreciated. Thank you!
