I have been looking int Book Creator a bit.
It looks to be a great platform for my high Image (low text) materials.
Here is a link.
Read around to get an idea of what it can do.

It sure is beautiful! Looks like a great option if you're only intending to share books with your students (rather than sell to others). It also looks like you can upload to ibooks to sell on iTunes. Nik Peachey uses iBook Author to create mixed media and image heavy ebooks, so that might be another option worth checking into. The advantage is that you can embed videos and such. The downside, I imagine, is that you can't sell on Amazon. Here's Nik's site if you want to take a look: peacheypublications.com - Books
ReplyDeleteAmazon DOES have a tool for kindle picture books! I didn't know. KDP Kids is a free download, and you can see how it will look without having to publish (although you need an account): kdp.amazon.com - Kindle Kids' Book Creator | Amazon Kindle Direct Publishing
ReplyDeleteI'm kind of amazed at how many tools there are for creating digital children's books. I had no idea!
Barbara Hoskins Sakamoto Downloading now.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the share.
I know Kindle has something for comic books... I've never played around with it, though. I wonder if Marcos Benevides would have any experience here...
ReplyDeleteDorothy Zemach I asked Marcos. He said he used Adobe Creative Suite: InDesign for layout, and Photoshop for adjusting illustrations. One of the software programs that can make Vellum look like a bargain lol
ReplyDeleteYeah, my designer uses InDesign for paperbacks--or she did before Vellum came along. :) But we still lay out more complex textbooks for paper with InDesign.
ReplyDeleteBarbara Hoskins Sakamoto Thanks for sharing. It looks good.
